Wahl premium 1/2 guard.
One of the best made guards out there. You will not go wrong with this guard. This guard is needed along with the one and a half guard to do fades. You will also need to get the complete set of premium guard.

Just what I was hoping for
I wasn't happy with the gap between Wahl sizes 1 and 2 included in the kit (home user) . I thought "if only there was a 1 1/2", searched and found this. The size I wanted, and as bonus its more sturdy than the default set. Shipped fast and cheap.
